I had it once where when 1 specific user got into the mdb, they locked it for other users. check over here I have checked the permissions for both groups and have even tried creating a new group with full admin rights to everything. However I read in the Ms Access 2003 bible that I have to go to Tools, Security, User and Group Accounts to to add users, however I face a problem. This can be tested by opening the folder of interest from the user's machine and creating a file. I have just put a Microsoft Access file onto a network drive here at work. Just to make sure everything is ok, I went into the folder and right clicked on the application.mdb.

Basically we have users assigned to different groups and the permissions set up on the groups. Again, the same thing. When some users log in the get a "Could not Lock file" message. Tech Support Guy is completely free -- paid for by advertisers and donations.
