I don't think that this is Microsoft's intent. Ive seen similar popup messages get hidden through means of registry editor, but google turned up no answers for this one. The problem is, Windows 7 shows "Could not reconnect all network drives" every time after booting up, there is a red X at the drive icon. If it actually requires something special to connect to that drive after the computer has fully booted then you are looking at a different issue than I am talking about. As it is with win7 and server2008, win7 will only produce gigabit speeds if connected to server2008 machine. (or possibly newer win server platforms which I do not have to test).
